NYSDA's newsletter, the Public Defense Backup Center REPORT, offers information of interest to public defense programs, lawyers, and client members. Every issue contains: summaries of appellate decisions; information about upcoming conferences and seminars; and a Defender News section. Periodically, issues contain original or reprinted Practice Tips, Legislative Reviews, and other information. All Chief Defenders, NYSDA members, and prison law libraries receive print copies of The REPORT. It is also posted below immediately upon completion, available to anyone with Internet access and an interest in public defense, criminal and family law, and justice.
