Tuition assistance for financial hardship is available.

This two-day skills-based program will explore key strategies for navigating DNA and digital evidence, giving attendees practical tools to apply to forensic litigation. It is open to all skill levels.

This program is intended for defense attorneys in criminal and family court practice and other members of the defense team, including investigators, paralegals, parent advocates, social workers, and mitigation specialists.



NYSDA reserves the right to cancel and refund registrations submitted by individuals who are not part of the public defense community.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • All cancellations must be submitted in writing over email to training@nysda.org
  • Cancellation requests received before EOD on September 25th, 2025, will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellation requests received after September 25th, 2025, are not eligible for a refund.
  • No-shows will be charged.
  • For offices registering multiple employees, substitutions are welcome. If a registered participant cannot attend, the office may substitute another staff member by emailing us before EOD on Wednesday, October 1st, 2025.
  • Extraordinary circumstances: exceptions to this policy will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us at training@nysda.org for assistance.
