In 2005, IDP partnered with Families for Freedom to develop “Deportation 101: Deportation, Detention and the Criminal Justice System,” a full-day curriculum that we have used to train hundreds of advocates, service providers, and immigrant community leaders.
IDP’s Support for Community Advocacy Long-term change to the deportation and criminal justice systems depends on the mobilization of immigrant communities. IDP builds the capacity of community-based groups to understand these systems and supports advocacy to change them.
